Parasailing in Boracay

Parasailing is probably the most expensive water sport in Boracay (at $50.00 US per hour) but the price does not seem to matter becaause the sails are always in the air.

Boracay boat tour around the island

If your planning to be in Boracay for a few days be sure to hire a boat to take you on a tour around the island. The six hour trip costs P500 per person and includes a free lunch and free drinks. On our tour the boat stopped at three different beaches so we could explore other parts of the island.

Kitesurfers agree Boracay rules

kitesurfing boracay: "All the kitesurfing is done on the windy side of the island and although there is loads of accomodation on that side of the island, the restaurants and all the action is on the white beach side. The island is only 1 kilometre across so it isnt a far to stay from the wind."

The other day I saw seven kitesurfers near white beach, each surfer had a different color kite. With the crystal blue waters as a background it was a beautiful site to behold. Sure wish I had taken my camera that day.

Boracay is that mythical deserted island that people day-dream of!

Boracay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Measuring just 7.5km long and 2km wide, Boracay is possibly one of the last best-kept secrets for international travellers and vacationers. It has consistently been on numerous top ten best beaches lists for decades but, with the Philippines being far from the usual Asian vacation hubs, many tourists balk at the further travel needed to reach Boracay. For this reason Boracay has largely avoided the 'tourist trap' feel that plagues many other Asian tourist destinations."

Under the shade of a coconut tree!

Boracay: "There is an undeniable easy atmosphere in Boracay where walking barefoot than shod is the rule rather than the exception. White Beach is so, soooo fine, it feels like treading on miles of baby powder! No wonder, even swinging discos have the beach for a floor, giving dance a new twist.
There are no hang-ups either in this island. At daytime, tourists having a soothing massage under the shade of a coconut tree beside the shoreline is a common sight. And from dusk to dawn, Boracay turns into one big party place where everyone is welcome to join in"

Boracay Regency sets the standard!

Boracay Regency Beach Resort: "Located at the middle of the world famous Boracay Island, Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Convention Center is the first to receive a triple –A rating along the white beach from the Department of Tourism in the Philippines. The hotel has 195 fully air-conditioned rooms, furnished with high quality fixtures and earthy bamboo and rattan pieces with lanais (except for standard rooms) overlooking the spectacular white sand beach.
