The clear water danced with the wind in Boracay

Superman's Journey: "Boracay was an amazing sight. The urban and congested Manila is nothing compared to where I was standing on. Although the sun was directly above me, the white sand felt cool beneath my feet. The clear water was peacefully dancing with the wind. I took a plunge into the emerald sea and felt my spirits rejuvenated. Finally, I knew how it felt to be in paradise."

I love reading these stories about Boracay.....

New year's is an excellent time to go to Boracay, what better way to bring in the New year than to be on the worlds best tropical beach.

Make sure you book a room soon because the island is usually fully booked during the Christmas, New Year's week.

Hello. We are going to Boracay in December. Just reading your post make me want to be there now. The weather is still nice here in San Francisco but it is definitely getting coolder at night. Nothing beats being is a tropical paradise enjoying perfect weather. I am so excited :-)

There will 10 of us travelling and I wanted your advice on where to stay. I am looking at La Carmella Resort, I think they have a family room there. Is that a good place to stay? Do you know any other place that is easy on the budget. I was looking at Friday's Boracay and I so wanted to go there but are quite pricey :-) Oh well :-)

Thanks in advance and take care. Salamat!

Hi Theresa,
If you want to stay at a nice clean (basic) resort I recommend Orchids. A fan room is around P800 per night (per person) but with a group of 10 you should be able to get a discount. Orchids also has a very large cottage that would easily sleep all ten people. The managers name is Lynn Turner. Orchids is not on the beach but it is only a two minute walk to the beach.

If you want to stay in a brand new resort that is not too expensive try Dave's Straw Hat. Nice place at around P1400 per person.

Better book early December is the beginning of the high season and the resorts could be fully booked.
